This is a rare unpublished print. The plate was in Lupton’s possession when Turner died. This is an early proof impression printed by Thomas Lupton prior to the printing of about 50 impressions in 1874. It was intended for Turner’s Liber Studiorum but Turner abandoned the project in 1819.

Condition: Excellent impression, rich and clear. Image in perfect condition. Wide margins – bottom right corner missing, and tiny piece of bottom left corner. Unevenness in top corners. ‘No.75’ written in top right corner.
