The rectangle has been a continued presence  within my practice for the last 10 years. It mimics the surface upon which I work and appears through the inclusion of a frame;  a rectangle at its centre. Colour is used to project or recede the rectangle from the painted surface. It is often close in tone to describe a light that makes it harder for the brain to distinguish between two forms. All works pay homage to the frame as a conceptual device that transforms surface and records information.
