Pennie Elfick trained at Wimbledon School of Art. On first impression, her paintings appear very minimal. However, she draws many of her ideas from the landscape around her, particularly in her use of colour and her exploration of the transient nature of light. They are beautifully crafted works, built up through thinly applied layers of paint.
